Appointments

We can only see patients that have been referred by their GP. 

If you have been referred to us you GP will have given you a document with a Unique Booking Reference Number (UBRN) on it, this usually begins with 000. You will also have a two word Access Code. In order to start the process of getting an appointment you must contact our head office on: 020 8519 3606. You will be asked for the UBRN and the password. We will not be able to proceed without this information.  

 

Once we have the referral information we will move onto the next stage in the process. 

Screening Process (Triage)

To make sure we don't waste time, once your GP has made a referral to us we review it to make sure we can deliver the service that you appear to need. We can see most patients referred to us in the services we provide.

If the clinician feels that you should see a specialist from another service they will liaise directly with your GP to ensure that you receive the correct treatment as soon as possible.

Please note:

Here at PatientFirst Social Enterprise we are only contracted to see patients registered at GP Surgeries in Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. 

If you move to a GP Surgery outside of this borough, prior to your first appointment with us, you will be discharged from our service and advised to speak to your GP to refer you to an alternative service in your local area.

What happens next?

 Once we have your referral : 

  • It takes 2 to 3 working days for it to be screened.

  • If one of the service you are referred to cannot treat you condition you may be referred to another suitable service.

  • We aim to see all of our patients within 6 weeks of the receipt of the referral.

Keeping your details up-to-date:

Its is very important that you keep your personal details up-to-date. If you change your name, address, phone number or any other piece of personal information that could impact your care please inform us as-soon-as possible. Failure to do so could cause a delay to you receiving important information which could impact your health.
